A Lancashire-based housing developer’s first phase of a £50 million regeneration scheme in Blackpool has already sold out.
As part of the Foxhall Village scheme, Hollinwood Homes is building 400 new homes on two plots of disused land off Rigby Road where a new community is being created. To date, 129 houses have been sold across the East and West sites and the development has become home to over 100 people.
The development is being delivered in partnership with Blackpool Council, the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and Great Places Housing Group, with a series of wider improvements also being carried out as part of the regeneration of the surrounding area.
Rik Faircloth, development manager at Hollinwood Homes said: “Foxhall Village has already begun to transform a previously neglected part of Blackpool. Since work began in 2014, we’ve welcomed families, couples, first time buyers and retired people who have all made a house a home here.
“Demand for the first phase was incredibly high, and we’re seeing that buyers don’t want to have to compromise style for affordability which is what makes the development so popular; it’s providing quality, energy efficient housing that people can afford.
“Work is well underway on the next phase which we are now taking reservations for and look forward to welcoming more people to Foxhall Village.”
