Isos Housing has awarded Morrison an £800,000 contract to provided planned maintenance and refurbishment work to 280 properties across South Shields, Sunderland, Aycliffe, Hetton and Bishop Auckland.
The 12-month contract is for the provision of a range of refurbishment works including improvements to kitchens and bathrooms, window and door replacement, electrical rewiring and heating systems upgrades.
Isos Housing is a region wide housing association with 12,000 homes across the North East, from Berwick in the north to Stockton in the south.
Bill Tuddenham, general manager of Isos Property Services, said: “This planned maintenance work is vital in improving the standard of our homes across South Tyneside, Sunderland and County Durham. We are pleased to be working with Morrison on these works which will help improve our residents’ quality of life.”
