ISG has won an £8m contract to refurbish and reconfigure a commercial building at the 95-acre Green Park in Reading – the fifth project it has won at the site.
The contractor will be forming a new entrance and lobby area at 450 South Park Way, as well as building a two-storey cantilevered extension on level three and four link bridges across each of the upper levels.
The Cat A fit out and reconfiguration of the five-storey structure at will in the end deliver 102,000 sq ft of Grade A office accommodation, which the company hopes will achieve a a BREEAM “Excellent” rating.
Externally, the project includes the provision of attractive hard and soft landscaping features and a new cycle store featuring roof-mounted photovoltaic panels.
The refurbishment forms part of client Oxford Properties’ long-term asset management strategy to address the supply demand gap of Grade A space in the Thames Valley market.
