After a flurry of contracts won in the first quarter of 2012, Barnfield Construction is on its way to developing over 1¼m sq ft of industrial space in the next 12 months.
Barnfield have seen their turnover halve in the last two years due to the climate but through tough negotiation have still managed to maintain the same profit margins in both years as they were doing when their turnover was double.
Tim Webber, managing director of Barnfield, commented: “I’m confident this year we will be back up to the turnover levels we were achieving prior to the start of the recession. Through hard work and determination we have battled through our third recession since formation in 1976 and we’ve pleased to have won several contracts in the first quarter of what promises to be a successful year.”
Despite the current credit crisis, Barnfield Construction are still seeing a steady stream of sales, albeit a slow one within the residential and commercial sectors.
