Interserve Consortium Reaches Financial Close On £270m Hospital

Interserve is trading in line with expectations it announced today. In a trading update ahead of its year-end to 31 December 2009 the firm said strong performances from its international construction and equipment services businesses have offset challenging market conditions in the UK private sector.

Interserve said it is continuing to perform well having won new contracts across a range of sectors with a combined value of over £350 million, including awards in both the UK and Middle East, since last November.

Major wins include a £70m contract to design and construct a young offenders institution at Glen Parva in Leicestershire for the Ministry of Justice and a £60 million job for Thames Water to construct new facilities and upgrade existing works at their Riverside sludge digestion plant.
