| Stewart Milne to cut almost 300 jobs |

The Stewart Milne Group has become the latest house builder to announce job cuts.
The Aberdeen based company said around 289 jobs could be lost, which is about 20% of its UK workforce. The Group has blamed the downturn in the house building industry for the job losses. 120 staff are expected to lose their jobs in northeast Scotland while 73 jobs will go in the central belt, and 96 will go in England. Final numbers will be decided during the consultation process. |
