South Lanarkshire has been chosen as the site of a £30m state-of-the art fire fighting training centre.
The site will prepare fire crews for plane crashes, terror attacks, rail and road smashes, explosions and blazes in high-rise flats. The 30 acre site will have a mocked up residential village, a stretch of motorway, an oil refinery, a chemical plant, and a factory. Clydesmill Industrial Estate, in Cambuslang, was chosen from 37 potential sites across the west of Scotland. |
