Leslie is Business Development Director with Robertson Construction Eastern and an Honorary Professor at the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture and the Built Environment, the Robert Gordon University.

This is the 175th Anniversary of the formation of the Chartered Institute of Building and sees the industry facing challenges after one of the most sustained periods of growth that the industry has experienced.

He said: “Over the last few years we have seen major improvements in the industry both in image and becoming a desirable career for many school leavers and graduates.

“My sincere hope is that we retain the ground gained over the last 16 years. Many of us believe that the construction industry is undervalued for the contribution it makes to the economic prosperity of the country and to the quality of life of the citizens."

Ken Morrison was appointed as Senior Vice Chair and Peter Jenkins Junior Vice Chair.
