Balfour Beatty takes Scottish museum contract E-mail

Balfour Beatty has won a £46.4m contract to transform the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh.

The contract will see 14 new galleries created as well as two discovery centres, a learning centre, a new exhibition gallery and education facilities.

In addition to this a new floor will be built beneath the main hall which will form a new street-level entrance with shops, a restaurant and a reception area.

Work is expected to begin sometime this month.
