Balfour Beatty has won a £46.4m contract to transform the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh.
The contract will see 14 new galleries created as well as two discovery centres, a learning centre, a new exhibition gallery and education facilities. In addition to this a new floor will be built beneath the main hall which will form a new street-level entrance with shops, a restaurant and a reception area. Work is expected to begin sometime this month. |
