International law firm Eversheds has today announced its appointment by the London Borough of Croydon to advise on its proposed partnership with the private sector. Croydon is the first Council in the UK to emulate the successful regional development agency PPP model, by creating a £450 million urban regeneration vehicle in partnership with a private developer.
Croydon Council recently launched its tender process to procure a suitable private sector partner for its partnership to deliver and invigorate regeneration in the borough. The selected partner will enter into a partnership to hold, manage and develop an identified property portfolio in the centre of Croydon. The estimated development value of the opportunity is £450 million and includes the provision of civic accommodation to the Council. |
