Public consultation on far-reaching plans for Norwich’s northern city centre opens today. Norwich City Council and its partners are developing an area action plan to set out a strategy for the regeneration of this important area of change. Key aims are the regeneration of Anglia Square, a new food store to serve the area, more office jobs and transport improvements. The plan is currently at the preferred options stage, following on from the public consultation last year on issues and options. It is designed to promote mixed-use regeneration of the area and attract investment for a vibrant economy, creating a distinctive identity based on culture and heritage, as well as an enhanced and safe environment. The public consultation on the plan will run from 12 November until 21 December. |
