Galliford Try has today announced it has been appointed by Shoreline Housing Partnership as development partner on a £46m regeneration scheme to redevelop an estate in Grimsby. The company also won a £25m affordable housing contract in East London for East Thames Housing Group.

For the regeneration of the Yarborough Estate in Grimsby, Galliford Try will provide 440 new properties, approximately 40% of which will be social housing. There are also proposals for a new medical centre and a new primary school, and the project will include a neighbourhood green, play area and community "eco gardens".

The mixed use scheme in Payne Road in East London will provide 158 mixed tenure residential units and will include a 2, 214 square metre commercial and community space at ground floor level with car parking facilities.

The East London Contract is expected to complete in December 2008. The scheme to regenerate the Yarborough Estate in Grimsby will last for approximately eight years.
