Passengers will benefit from improved transport services around the Olympic Park two years before the Games start.
Transport projects that are scheduled to complete before the Olympics include the extension of the Dockland Light Rail (DLR) service from two-car trains to a three-car train service - boosting on-board capacity by 50% on the majority of the network. The capacity at Stratford Regional Station will be trebled along with access improvements in and around the station; these will be finished by the end of 2010. As well as new trains, platforms, lifts and bigger stations are all being added to enhance the London and UK transport system. |
