Speedy Hire, the equipment hire company, has picked up a top industry award for its commitment to health and safety issues.

The award, for Best Contribution to Health, Safety and the Environment, was given by the Hire Association of Europe (HAE), the trade body for hire and rental companies in the UK and Ireland.

The award is another endorsement for Speedy Hire's Safety from the Ground Up campaigns and jargon-free corporate responsibility (CR) initiatives.

Its latest health and safety campaign is aimed at raising awareness of dust control and the measures that can be taken to limit workers exposure to dangerous particulates released into the atmosphere during the construction process.
