A man has been injured in a scaffolding collapse in Middlesbrough.

The incident happened on 18 January at 6.30pm in Jedburgh Street on the refurbishment of a row of terrace houses.

B&J Scaffolding was the subcontractor for Teesside firm SGW Construction on the project, which was contracted by Middlesbrough Council.

SGW Construction declined to comment.

A spokesman for the council told B&E online: “It was extremely windy and I gather that’s what brought it down. One man suffered minor injuries and a number of cars were also damaged.”
