A roofing contractor from Wales has appeared in court charged with the manslaughter of a teenage employee. Roy Brendon Clarke, 50, of Court Road, Bridgend, entered no plea when he appeared before Cwmbran magistrates charged with the manslaughter of Daniel Dennis . Daniel, 17, lost his life after falling through a skylight on the roof of a Matalan store in Cwmbran in April 2003. Clarke owned the Bridgend firm North Eastern Roofing, which had employed Daniel at the time of his death. He will next appear before Newport Crown Court on November 22. |
