| Health and Safety Executive appoints Philip White |

The Health and Safety Executive has appointed Philip White as its new chief inspector for construction.
White was previously HSE’s head of construction operations in London. He will replace Stephen Williams, who has been promoted to the newly-created post of director of field operations for London and the Olympics. He is due to take over next year. |
