Consultant WS Atkins is to axe 51 design jobs as part of a strategy to refocus on larger national projects.
Four of the firm’s 22 design offices — Winchester, Aberdeen, Cambridge and Nottingham - are affected. The cuts are not thought to be down to the effects of the industry slowdown - last month it reported profits up by 31% - rather a change of strategy. The company employs 1600 worldwide. |
