Whitbread has announced that it will invest £100m over the next three years to create six new Premier Inn hotels in London. It also said that acquired three hotels for £18.5m and will spend an additional £12m converting them into Premier Inn hotels. It has also secured first refusal to acquire all 12 remaining Purple hotels from Real Hotel Company. Premier Inn is also developing three new build hotels in London. The equivalent of £70m will be invested in these leasehold developments.
"Our pipeline will position us as the largest hotel chain in London with at least 8,500 rooms before the Olympics in 2012," the group said. |
