Architects Make have submitted plans for a 149m-high mixed-use tower in Vauxhall, south London.
The tower called the ‘Octave building’ is planned for a brownfield site on Bondway in Vauxhall and is within a zone allocated for a cluster of new tall buildings. The scheme will contain 10% employment use and 90% residential accommodation. There will be 376 new homes, 30% of which will be affordable and 70% private. A community floor will be located at level 36 where residents can use the recreational, business and function spaces. There will also be retail space on the ground floor. Biomass boilers will provide 25% renewable energy consumption and contribute to a 30% overall reduction in carbon use. |
