One of Scotland most famous civil engineering names is no more. Tulloch Civil Engineering has re-branded as Rok Civil Engineering, the civil engineering arm of the Rok group. It was acquired by Rok in 2006. "We employ a workforce of more than 250 people in the Highlands and we are continuing our recruitment drive", said Kenny Cameron, Area Leader of Rok Civil Engineering. "This will probably include making acquisitions at some point in the future. It has been a great year for us and our current forward workload is healthier than it has ever been." At the same time it was announced that the company is investing £1.2 million in a major upgrading of its plant, crane hire and haulage fleet. LAS Plant also comes under the new banner, having been acquired almost four years ago. Cameron said: "The re-branding is a new look for us. We have a very experienced and close knit management team which has been able to embrace the Rok ethos and will deliver it in a way that suits and benefits the Highland business environment. "There are very exciting times ahead for Rok Civil Engineering. Growth is paramount but our strategy, in line with Rok’s, is controlled growth." |
