Tesco plans Bromley-by-Bow scheme
Thursday, 03 December 2009
Tesco has submitted a planning application for a regeneration scheme in Bromley-by-Bow in greater London.

The scheme will replace an existing Tesco store with a new district centre including 19 other shops, a primary school, park, hotel, 403 homes, a gym, and cafes, anchored by a new Tesco superstore of 80,000 sq ft.

There also plans to upgrade bus connections between the site and the rest of Bromley-by-Bow.

If the scheme is approved, Tesco wants to have the store completed in time for the 2012 Olympic Games.
