One of the country's largest manufacturers of timber doors and stairs has gone into administration.
STP Group, which is based in New Mills was bought by turnaround investment group Endless last November in a £6.4m deal. However, administrators from Ernst & Young have now been appointed. The administrators said in a statement that they are continuing to trade the company while they assess the situation. STP employs 170 people at sites in New Mills, Leeds, Bristol and Wakefield. It has a turnover of around £23m and supplies joiners, builders and builders' merchants. |
