| Speedy Hire snaps up Amec business |

Amec is to sell its tool and equipment hire business, Logistics and Support Services (LSS) to Speedy Hire for £12.5m. Plant hire group Speedy Hire,will take on LSS's 10 UK depots and 250 staff. Speedy said the deal included Amec's industrial division agreeing to supply it with equipment for four years. Speedy's chief executive Steve Corcoran said: "We are very pleased to have acquired the LSS business which will further enhance our already strong relationship with Amec." |
