Plans to build Scotland's tallest building in Glasgow have been scrapped. Elphinstone Place a joint venture between Elphinstone and developer City Lofts has been shelved, after the parent company of City Lofts went into administration and the scheme's main funders Lehman Brothers decided to withdraw. Work had been meant to start later this year on the £120m, 40-storey mixed use scheme. The 440ft tower, designed by Conran & Partners and Glasgow-based Cooper Cromar, would have been higher Glasgow's Science Centre, making it Scotland’s tallest building. |
