Neil Baxter, secretary of the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland, has received a Lord Provost’s Award from Glasgow’s First Citizen, Bob Winter. Baxter was honoured for his varied contributions to heritage, such as the development of a range of projects, including the award winning Castlemilk Stables, Orkney Street, Govan, The Pearce Institute, Govan, and Provan Hall, Easterhouse, and his authorship or editorship of an array of publications. He is editor of A Tale of Two Towns: A History of Medieval Glasgow and Re:designing Scotland’s Cities and contributed to the recent publication Glasgow’s Greatest Exhibition: Recreating the Glasgow Empire Exhibition of 1938. |
