Galliford Try today said it expects record results in the second half of 2007 and added it has bought affordable housing contractor Kendall Cross.
Total sales were £473m, compared with £204m in the same period of 2006. The company revealed a construction order book of £2bn with wins across the Midlands and Scotland. Galliford said these resulted from its multi-school PFI projects in Northamptonshire and the Highlands of Scotland. However, the company said its housebuilding division has experienced “an increasingly difficult market”. Galliford doubled the size of the division with the acquisition of Linden Homes last March. The company added that it paid £9.3m for northeast affordable housing contractor Kendall Cross. |
