PME, the mechanical and electrical maintenance services arm of Carillion, is changing its brand name to Carillion Planned Maintenance from the 1 May. PME’s market position as one of the UK’s leading mechanical and electrical maintenance service providers has been reinforced through the acquisitions by Carillion of Mowlem in 2006 and Alfred McAlpine this year. These acquisitions brought the Mowlem Technical Services and Alfred McAlpine Business Services Technical businesses into the company, further growing PME’s client portfolio. The new trading name of Carillion Planned Maintenance also incorporates PME’s air and water hygiene business, BEH. Carillion Planned Maintenance managing director, Peter Black, said: “The acquisition of Alfred McAlpine in February gave us an ideal opportunity to update our business name to convey our parent company values and re-define our core capability.” |
