Palfinger launches new crane range E-mail
Thursday, 25 October 2007
Lifting equipment manufacturer Palfinger has launched a series of new high performance cranes.

The cranes, in the 8 to 12 metre tonne class, are characterised by what the manufacturer claims are their "perfect ratio of dead weight to lifting power". High-strength fine-grained structural steel combined with state of the art equipment enable accurate and flexible deployment even under the most difficult conditions. The hexagonal boom section ensures greater rigidity of the boom system.

The new models are the PK 8501 and PK 9001 EH.

Equipped with up to 5 hydraulic extensions, both cranes have an hydraulic outreach of 14 metres. The PK 8501 has a lifting moment of 7.8 metre tonnes and the PK 9001 EH over 8.7 metre tonnes. The PK 8501 K is equipped with up to 2 hydraulic extensions, has an hydraulic outreach of 7.3 metres and a lifting moment of 7.9 metre tonnes.

It is possible to increase the application range of the new cranes by adding the appropriate attachments. Clamshell grabs, soil augers or working baskets turn the cranes into multi-functional all-rounders. They can be installed on any commercially-available truck chassis.
