The installation of a new pedestrian bridge across Dukes Dock, linking Kings Waterfront and Albert Dock has been completed by Alfred McAlpine.

A new small business office development planned for York will boost both business and the environment in an eco-friendly new development. The green development which will be located at Clifton Moor, will offer 60 modern offices and workshops to a variety of different businesses in the area.

 

 
Lubetkin prize shortlist E-mail

The  Des Moines Public Library in Iowa, USA by David Chipperfield Architects; Southern Cross Station in Melbourne by Grimshaw and the Hearst Tower in New York by Foster & Partners are the three contenders for the Royal Institute of British Architects' (RIBA) prestigious Lubetkin Prize, supported byThe Architectural Review, for the most outstanding work of architecture outside the UK and the European Union by an RIBA member. 
 

 
Hospital design submitted E-mail

Laing O Rourke has submitted detailed plans for the first new buildings of the £374 million development of Southmead Hospital, Bristol. The design is for a new pathology building and academic centre.
