P+HS Architects has submitted a planning application to replace the  P+existing health centre in Eaglescliffe, Stockton on Tees with a £2.75  P+million innovative new purpose built facility. The centre will be  P+built by Tolent Construction.

Alfred McAlpine is to be taken over by Carillion which will pay £600m.

Contracting to property group Metnor Group has issued a profit warning.

Orders in the twelve months to September 2007 rose by two per cent compared with the previous twelve months, but orders in the third quarter 2007 fell by two per cent compared to the same quarter a year earlier.
