Housing Minister Yvette Cooper has today welcomed the publication of the Callcutt Review into delivering new housing and announced a major new drive to speed up the delivery of new greener, affordable homes for first time buyers and families.

 
Galliford Try takes Fife hospital E-mail

Galliford Try has won the £32m PPP deal to build a new Community Hospital and Health Centre in St Andrews, Fife.  Morrison Construction, part of Galliford Try’s building division, will carry out the construction, and Morrison Facilities Services the post construction services. 

 
Mersey Gateway moves forward E-mail

The Mersey Gateway project, the proposed new bridge crossing of the River Mersey has taken a step forward following the end of a long period of public consultation. And a planning application is now expected to be submitted to Halton council in 2008.

SFO to charge Severn Trent E-mail

The Serious Fraud Office (SFO)is to charge Severn Trent Water, part of Severn Trent, with three offences relating to leakage data supplied to Ofwat between 2000 and 2002.
