Muse Developments has received planning permission for a £15m hotel in Manchester city centre.

The Express by Holiday Inn will comprise 192 bedrooms over eight floors and will be located in the Northern Quarter.
It is part of Muse’s Northern Quarter regeneration project.

The plans also include a 14,000 sq ft public square.

Muse Developments started the Northern Quarter regeneration project in the Smithfield part of Manchester in 2001 in a joint venture with Crosby Homes.

Muse and Crosby have developed 318 apartments and the Crowne Plaza building, which was completed last year.

Work is expected to start on site in October with the hotel completed by 2011.
