More jobs go at Palgrave Brown E-mail
Wednesday, 19 November 2008
Palgrave Brown, the Lancashire manufacturer of roof trusses and timber engineered products firm that was placed in to administration earlier this month, has announced a further 207 layoffs.

Joint administrators Graham Newton, Dermot Power and Toby Underwood from BDO Stoy Hayward had laid off 193 when they were appointed, the new job losses are in addition to these and effectively mean the end of the company.

A statement from the administrator said: “Palgrave Brown was a well-established business, but given the conditions in the construction sector at present, it has not been possible to achieve a going concern sale of the whole of the business and this has, unfortunately, resulted in further redundancies.
