Staffordshire County Council has appointed Modus and Stoford as joint developers for its Tipping Street development. The mixed-use development will incorporate retail, offices and new headquarters for the county council and will link the Town Centre and the proposed Riverside regeneration project. It will also see the existing drab car park swept away and replaced with landmark buildings. The development will also meet BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environment Assessment Method) standards. Staffordshire County Council deputy leader County Councillor Robert Simpson said Modus and Stoford had really impressed with their designs and their commitment to quality. "Both Modus and Stoford have a track record in creating buildings with a buzz that attract new business, create jobs and transforms the environment for the better. "The team are developing designs which innovate to save energy. The new building will meet the highest environmental standards. We want to ensure that the development sets the standards for the future. Stafford should be a historic town at the heart of a sustainable and prosperous future and this development will lead the way." |
