An MP has urged the Government to hold a full public inquiry into the collapse of Metronet, the PPP joint venture which was responsible for maintaining large parts of London's tube system. Labour MP Graham Stringer said Metronet - now in administration but about to be taken over by Transport for London - had "funnelled cash into its own shareholders as contractors".
The call from the former leader of Manchester City Council came in a letter to Transport Secretary Ruth Kelly. |
