The London Thames Gateway Development Corporation (LTGDC) has revealed the five companies that have made its shortlist to design the Lea River Park in east London.
Agence Ter, Field Operations, Gardner Stewart Architects, Latz and Partners and PROAP beat over 30 submissions to reach the shortlist. The teams will compete to design the two-mile Lea River Park in the Lower Lea Valley which will connect the Olympic Park from Stratford to the Thames at East India Dock Basin. Over the next three years the corporation will invest £28m to drive forward the first phases of the new Lea River Park working with partners Design for London and the Lee Valley Regional Park Authority. It is thought the lead design consultant will be appointed before the end of the year. |
