| Law firms announce merger |

Law firm Maxwell Batley said yesterday it intends to merge with built environment specialist Winward Fearon. Maxwell Winward said it will benefit from pooling specialist built environment knowledge for new and existing and new clients. The merged company will comprise of five business divisions; Real Estate, Corporate, Projects, Construction and Dispute Resolution. Management representatives from both firms will work together. Raymond Levine of Maxwell Batley said: “Our mutual business strengths and our complementary practice areas will provide the new firm with a robust foundation for growth.” The merger will be effective from 1st April 2007.
