Jarvis today said it has sold its 80% share in Herefordshire Jarvis Services Limited to Amey.
The company said it has agreed to sell its interest for £3.55m. Herefordshire Jarvis Services provides highways and traffic services, civic and school catering, grounds maintenance, street and building cleaning, recycling facilities, building management and maintenance as well as other support services. Jarvis executive chairman Steven Norris said: "I am delighted that we have agreed the sale of our share in Herefordshire Jarvis Services. Jarvis continues to divest itself of non-core activities and is fully focussed on repositioning around its key competencies. This transaction completes a further strategic element in the turnaround of Jarvis." Completion of the sale has been made with the agreement of the County of Herefordshire District Council, which owns the remaining 20% share in the business. |
