Interserve has been named as preferred bidder for the PFI contract to create and maintain a new acute hospital at Enniskillen, Northern Ireland.
The Western Health and Social Care Trust has awarded the £300m contract for the construction and facilities management of a 315-bed hospital which will be the first in Northern Ireland to provide 100% single-bed, en-suite rooms. Interserve said it will invest some £7.8m in the project, representing 31.5% of the equity and subordinated debt, and will provide "hard" FM services worth £75m over a 30-year period once the hospital has been built. |
