Interserve, the services, maintenance and building group, has been awarded two further health sector projects in Wales, in deals worth a total of £62m.

North West Wales NHS Trust has selected Interserve as its supply partner for the replacement of its corroded pipe work throughout Ysbyty Gwynedd, an Acute Hospital in Bangor.

The project represents the group’s 10th contract award under the Designed for Life: Building for Wales framework agreement since it started in 2006.

Interserve has also been awarded the contract to construct a new Accident & Emergency department at Withybush Hospital Haverfordwest for the Hywel Dda NHS Trust.

A 19-bed unit and two operating theatres are also included in the deal.

Work on site is due to begin in September with completion scheduled for February 2010.
