Plans for a major new waterfront development will be considered by Hull planners next week. The second phase of the proposed Humber Quays scheme, close to Hull Marina, has been submitted by regeneration agencies Citybuild and Yorkshire Forward. But the officers said the waterfront site is in the city centre and claim the development will bring about "an economic and physical renaissance" to the area. The outline application includes a series of three, four and six-storey office buildings, a 200-bed six-storey hotel, 32 residential apartments, a restaurant and a multi-storey car park.
As well as the new buildings on the site, the application includes proposals for an extended riverside promenade, landscaping and a new pedestrian street linking the second phase of the development to the first phase area. |
