A 1,000 tonne hotel made of sand on the Dorset coast has been demolished, a week after it was created.
A CAT 312 excavator donated by plant hire company Hewden demolished the 15m sq, 4m high castle in a matter of minutes. The Weymouth Beach hotel which was the largest sand castle ever built, was commissioned by accommodation operator laterooms.com after research found that more Brits were holidaying at home and heading for the UK seaside resorts. |
