Green light for Dover Castle building
Friday, 12 December 2008
Plans for a new visitor admissions building for Dover Castle has been approved.

The building is expected to cost £560,000 to build and will replace the current temporary structure.

The new building will be constructed on the same site as the present one, and will be almost twice the size of the existing structure.

Work is due to begin in January with completion by the summer of 2009.

English Heritage submitted a planning proposal in September 2008.
