Muse Developments has been given planning permission for its £220m Talbot Gateway scheme in Blackpool.
The application was submitted by HOW Planning, and put forward proposals for a mixed-use development to deliver a comprehensive regeneration of the north east part of the town centre, around Blackpool North Station and Talbot Road. It comprises more than 330,000 sq ft of office and business space including new office for Blackpool Borough Council, a 90,000 sq ft food superstore, four hotels, shops, cafes and restaurants. New homes and a doctor's surgery are also planned as part of the scheme. The centrepiece of the 25-acre scheme will be a pedestrian friendly public square opposite the station. The scheme will be delivered in partnership with Blackpool Council, urban regeneration company ReBlackpool and the North West Regional Development Agency (NWDA). |
