Thursday, 08 May 2008

Detailed planning permission has been given for the first phase of development of new homes for the former CompAir Holman site in the Dolcoath area of Camborne in Cornwall.

The site acquired by English Partnerships will see an investment of £90m to build 390 homes. The first phase will see 95 new family homes built.

English Partnerships’ development partner is Midas Homes.

David Warburton, English Partnerships area director for the South West said: “I am delighted that our plans for this first phase have been endorsed by the local authority.

"The homes will achieve quality standards including life-long design and accord to Code 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes."

He added: The design of the homes will draw heavily on local building materials to ensure that the scheme fits into the local Cornish culture. Building materials such as natural granites and slate along with painted render and timber will ensure the scheme enhances the local area.
