Glasgow City Council has approved plans for a £28m upgrade of Southern General's maternity unit The plans, to upgrade and increase capacity, will now be submitted to the Scottish Executive. If ministers approve, construction, as is likely, work is expected to start next month. The work is expected to be completed by the end of 2009. |
