A new train station is planned for Glasgow Airport to cater for the proposed £210m rail link to Glasgow Central.

Two platforms will be created near the main terminal building ahead of the rail link.

The platforms will be linked to a walkway leading to the main terminal.

Four trains an hour will run between Glasgow Airport and Glasgow Central once the link is completed.

Transport Scotland will oversee the construction of the rail link.
