George Wimpey gets green light for Newcastle quayside scheme E-mail

George Wimpey's plans for a mixed-use development on Newcastle's quayside have been granted planning permission after a public inquiry took place.

The Ouseburn Gateway scheme, located on the River Tyne and at the mouth of the River Ouseburn includes a 13-storey residential tower and a four-storey office building. Retail and leisure space will also be provided.

The scheme is designed by architect Sir Terry Farrell.
