Galliford Try has agreed £225m with its banks to accommodate its plans for expansion. Company chairman David Calverley is expected later on today to announce positive results after the company’s revenues broke £1bn this year with the acquisition of Morrison. Galliford’s order book currently stands at £2.4bn. The company last week won a £79m construction contract for Europe’s largest onshore wind farm at Whitlee, Scotland. Housebuilding is also up on last year, and the company said demand for homes remains strong. Claverley said: “The past year has transformed the business. Galliford Try has become one of the UK’s major construction businesses following the acquisition of Morrison Construction in March and the acquisition of Chartdale Homes in February has significantly accelerated the expansion of our housebuilding division.” |
